Two former West Virginia Black Bears play in Pirates home opener

Two former West Virginia Black Bears' prospects saw action in the Pittsburgh Pirates home opener today. The Pirates won their fourth game of the season and remain undefeated.

Edgar Santana (2015) had a difficult relief outing today after two strong performances over the weekend. In one-third of an inning, he gave up two hits and two runs (both earned) and now has a 10.80 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP on the season.

Dovydas Neverauskas (rehab assignment 2015) pitched 1.1 inning, giving no hits or runs and 1 walk. He has appeared in three games this season, pitching 2.1 innings. He has a 7.71 ERA and 1.29 WHIP.
