Brandon Waddell is getting it done in Altoona

Former New York-Penn League prospect Brandon Waddell is getting it done with the Altoona Curve this season. Last night, he gave up one earned run on six hits, while striking out six over 8.2 innings to get his first win of the season. In six starts, he has an ERA of 1.59.

Waddell was drafted by the Pirates in the fifth round of the 2015 draft and spent that summer with the New York-Penn League team located in Granville, West Virginia. He pitched in Bradenton and Altoona in 2016 and Altoona in 2017. He also had a brief rehab assignment at Granville in 2017.
